During my holiday I installed an application called Fring, that allows me to receive my Skype profile on my mobile phone.  It works well and created an online presence on the mobe.  Some of my correspondents were inviting me for events in Brussels, because convinced I was there, but I was actually at a pool in France.  
After the mobile phone for voice, that become location irrelevant, now also the data applications on top are doing the same.
